After both Jota Sport's drivers secured podium finishes in race 1, both Sam Hancock and Phil Quaife endured dramatic race 2s in the Porsche Carrera Cup GB at Snetterton.

Starting fourth on the grid, Hancock ran side by side with series debutante Jake Rosenzweig and finished the first lap still in fourth. Unfortunately, when Hancock made a move for third place on the second lap, he made contact with Charles Bateman, pitching the Team Parker Racing driver into the barriers. Sam dropped to eighth overall as a four-lap Safety Car period followed, but fought back during the remainder of the race. The Londoner passed Jack Clarke, Glynn Geddie, Nigel Rice and Rosenzweig to take fourth and a bagful of useful points at the chequered flag.

Quaife meanwhile made the worse possible start as a clutch problem saw him bog down on the grid. Having ended the first lap in 14th, he had fought his way back up to seventh by lap 12 before contact with Jack Clarke caused a puncture and forced him to pit.

Rejoining from the pits in 11th, Phil climbed back to ninth overall and seventh in the Pro class, at the chequered flag, but could have finished higher had he not lost half a lap behind the Safety Car when it wrongly picked him up instead of the race leader towards the end of the race.
