Hancock takes race 2 victory for Jota Sport

Sam Hancock completed a lights-to-flag victory in race 2 of the Porsche Carrera Cup's visit to Knockhill, while Phil Quaife finished in fourth position to complete a strong weekend for Jota Sport.

Starting from pole position, Hancock pulled out a gap of two seconds in the first half of the race as he nailed his start. A Safety Car period wiped out his advantage but he was able to stay clear of championship leader Michael Caine to take his third win of the season.

Quaife started from third and made a good start to hold position off the line. He fought to keep Tim Harvey and Tim Bridgman at bay in the early stages but succumbed to both midway through the race as he struggled with grip. He was, however, the fastest car on the circuit in the closing laps and regained fourth position at the final corner on the final lap when Harvey tapped Caine into a spin.
